R. Audemars SA is an independent
Swiss Company, key manufacturer of high precision micro electro-mechanical
components.Being in the watch business for over 100 years, the company
has developed highly specialized technologies, machinery, as well
as a specific know-how for the design, manufacturing and assembly
of micro-components. This know-how is exploited in several specialized
application fields.The main production facility and the Engineering
Dept. are located in Switzerland, while the labour intensive components

The tendency is that the industry
needs smaller components. R Audemars SA recently produced coils with
dimensions of 0.6 x 1 mm. The wire size for this coil is 10µm in diameter, hardly visible. A human hair has an average dimension
of 100µm or 0.1mm. Also making the coil is a challenge. The
wire is hardly visible and must be handled with extreme care by using
customized tools and skilful peoples . R Audemars SA produced this
coil for a medical application and foresees further miniaturisation
coming. |
